A kickstarter for 28mm multipart resin troops.

To quote the project creator:-

A British made range of modular, multipart figures cast in high quality resin. These figures are scaled to 28mm Heroic size and will complement some of the most popular ranges currently available.

Representing highly mobile, Special Forces equipped for night operations these figures are supported by huge, heavily armed Hulks lugging cannons or close combat weapons across the battlefield.

The figures are designed along a modular basis allowing you to use any combination of heads and limbs, which affords endless possibilities and a unique collection of expressive figures.

I really don't like those.
But good luck to him!

I like the rifle designs

Better than any of the new stuff put out for the IG by Games Workshop imo, but that isn't saying much.

Good luck!

I like the concept of them, but I too want too see more true scale minis with true proportions of the head hands and feet. as well as keeping things into the right named scale.

That is just my personal taste however, I also feel that is were wargaming is headed towards a more true scale and less cartoony proportioned minis. With all this said , if they were to move away from the cartoony heroic scale and towards a true scale I would say their is a lot of potential for these guys too really stand out well in the market.

"Heroic-Scale" is "Don't Sue Us"-speak for "same size as Games Workshop stuff."

28mm Heroic does not mean 32mm though. Heroic means larger proportioned hands, weapons and heads. Generally 32mm figures are scaled better and not at all 'Heroic'.

it's an interesting idea but the sculpting seems a little lazy, like the sculptor said, "oh the hell with it, that's good enough i guess." then again i said the same thing about the sculpting for the ramshackle kickstarter and that did very well…….

Pros: Nice to see multipart figures that comes with a lot of equipment, backpacks and optional parts from the start.

Cons: I don't really see the market for figures who are basicly IG-proxies with more sensible equipment, NVGs and different rifles. They could have saved a lot of trouble and just made custom-kits with heads and gear for IG-figures.

I agree that a more sensible proportioned set of minis would be of bigger interest. Anyway, they have something going for them and the best of luck to you!

I agree that they have some heroic proportion issues, but since they appear to be wearing loose NBC-type suits and have large helmets it looks okay to me. I wouldn't really call them short and stumpy, or big headed ;-)

Personally speaking, I'm getting tired of everyone firing up a Kickstarter for every project ever. The pieces are already sculpted, what do you need our money for?

I would. To itch his own, one supposes.
