with eyeballs and belt buckles manning the guns and rigging. auction I mean
the ship looks great, but $280 USD for a 1/1200 scale Langton? And the reef lines are not even treated? |

I remember the pet rock
.a rock in a box for $4.95 USD. And that was 25 years ago. I've seen people at cons selling sand for $5 USD for about a quart when $5 USD will buy you 20 pounds at Home Depot. I have sold cardboard boxes. Empty boxes. And shipped them to California from Chicago. Gotta love capitalism. |

Thankfully, Economy Shipping is only an additional $27.00 USD. |

I have never had a problem with "outrageous" eBay prices. No one is twisting my arm to buy them, and if the seller ca get what he is asking form more power to him! In fact, I wish people WOULD bid outrageously on MY eBay auctions! |

He's raised his prices. He sold some other ships earlier this year for around $100. USD |

For that money--it better float, shoot, and make sandwiches. |

Yowzas! Nice looking model, but I don't think I could afford to build up much a fleet that way! |

It gets worse. One of his other auctions is for a 1/300 Langton 32 gun frigate, HMS Juno. He's asking $943 USD for that one
. Nice work, but waaaaaaaay overpriced

Oh yeah, this guy was hanging here on TMP a short while ago, hocking his wares. Its perfectly nice work, but not breathtaking. If he wants to sell at collector's prices, he needs to switch to the Toy Soldier market, not the wargaming one. |

I have the Juno. The Langton 1/300's take a great deal of work, but yes way overpriced even at that. I'd charge about $450 USD to paint and rig one and it is a $150 USD kit. A real bear to ship, too This fellow though has committed the cardinal sin of using cotton thread for rigging. Over time this will continue to spaul off fuzz which attracts dust and humidity, looking progressively worse over time. |
