"Natty Industries is taking orders for custom-made dice. Get them for a game you're working on or a special event or for whatever reason you've got. London start-up Natty Industries has begun using 3D printing to create custom dice with a minimum order of just 1. "I saw a gap in the market" says founder Nathaniel Caird "if you wanted personalized dice with your initials on for instance, you had to order a minimum of 100!" Their dice are already being bought by an number of people, from board game designers to a large financial institution (that will remain nameless) Plus, you can have them 8-sided, 12 -sided, even 20 sided. Just don't blame them for the next financial crisis."

And craaaaazy expensive at 12UKP each. "They have a pretty decent roll in them! Great for making your own board games or for choosing who does the chores. There will be small lines and inconsistencies in your dice, our customers quite like this." So don't expect anything resembling a random roll, but you can finally have a die with "SUCK IT!" in place of the '1' like you've always wanted. Thanks for finding this, though. We're still a way off before we can get the cost/quality points at a wide consumer level, but it's getting closer.

You try holding a laser steady on such a small space, while holding it! ;-) |
