Hello folks!

Not only am I taking suggestions for resources (books, websites, etc.)…

link

…I am also soliciting the esteemed membership to assist in creating a definitive list of 1/285-1/300 scale aircraft…

link

…which I have started with the companies that I know about, currently making Korean War era aircraft. I would like to expand this list by not including companies I have missed, but also companies making suitable decals and other items used for air combat gaming.

Hoping to receive your help as I dive into the Korean War!

Don't forget the WW2 aircraft e.g.B29

Good start! You might want to add miniatures/models because they are hard to find, at least a list of manufacturers for the period.

Will you cover the land war as well?

CP – I plan on covering the land war as well.

I do have a list started on the Air War page of the blog that lists manufacturers and planes as I know them. Hoping to expand the list as others contribute!

Darryl,

Are you interested in the non-US air elements? You get to include Mustangs and Meteors (RAAF), Sea Furies and Fireflies (RAN), Mustangs and Sabres (SAAF), Sunderland flying boats (RAF), Seafires, Sea Furies and Fireflies (RN) … OK, not quite as sexy as the USAF/USN offerings

Cheers, Frank

Hi Frank,

Eventually I will be interested in gathering inf for the remaining UN forces, and you have given me some info there already, so I will work on adding those in! Thanks!

I decided to add a slew of the other aircraft as you suggested, along with the World War II planes as well.

Thanks, mouse! I've added the Scotia ones (they are the same range as MSD games). I have added a link for Skyraider Minis to the 1/285/1/300 Air War links section, but have yet to add their individual aircraft to the Air War page, simply because their website is rife with pop ups and other assorted junk! :)
