I have a spare M48 which I am thinking of using as an M67 flamethrower tank. Are there any visible external inferences between the two types? |

This is going back some but I think the distinction is purely the gun barrel – the barrel is slightly shorter and the flame projector is hidden inside the barrel. The tip of it poke out slightly from the T muzzle brake
It seems to be a deliberate effort to conceal the tank's function until needed |

Yep, it really is just a shorter barrel. When I did a conversion (a long frak'n time ago) I cut a few millimeters from the barrel. I also added 55 gallon drums to the vehicle for a little more drama and also so that people would know which M-48 was the flame thrower. (It is a game so at some point you need a quick way to show the difference.) Thanks, Pat |
