Thank you. I shouldn't have been listening to sad folk while I wrote it up, it made me really melancholy! |

Good stuff once again. While things didn't go to plan, I'd say still a good tabletop fight. I received the rules and gave them a look, but didn't have a lot of time. Hopefully tonight I can sit down and take an in-depth look. Thanks for sending them. V/R, Jack |

They certainly didn't! If my Emir hadn't gotten seriously wounded by Galliant, it would have been a minor insurgent victory, but in the end it was FUBAR for all concerned. No problem, I hope they are understandable when I'm not in the room – being a two-page set, they are quite dense. They are also the most complicated Tactical Two Pager set we've worked on, simply because so much needs modelling in a modern warfare set. Cheers, Matt @ Morningstar |

IR, I gave the rules a good read-through last night and took some notes. I'm not quite done (sorry, I have to spend some time with the wife and kids!), but almost there. I took some notes, and I've got a few questions. As you said, they are 'dense' in terms of the amount of info, but it's pretty straightforward; my questions are just to make sure I'm on the same page. Hopefully tonight I can get it all together and craft an e-mail to you, then get a game in this weekend. I will say that the rules are much more in depth than what I usually use, so please bear with me. I'm definitely more of a 'beer and pretzels' type of rules guy: D6 throughout, a little friction in C2 (usually via card activation and/or command rolls), and super simple combat and movement mechanics with few modifiers. Of course, as you get further down in 'scale' it gets harder and harder to abstract things, so everything makes sense, and I'll give it a shot. Just need to find me a D20! V/R, Jack |

As I mentioned, they are the most complicated rules I've written, but in quite a "DBA" sort of way – they play much better than they read and flow well in play. I'm a "beer and pretzel" guy too – this is the first game I've written not to stubbornly stick to d6s. I thought it was C3 – Command, Communication and Control? Or did I double something up? Does this link help?: roll-dice-online.com Cheers, Matt @ Morningstar |

Matt, I just sent you an e-mail. Please don't hate me, I had a lot of questions, but only because I want to make sure and get it right. The concepts are pretty straightforward and make sense intuitively. And I've got a D20 rolling around here somewhere, but thanks for the website. I say C2 for wargames, just good old fashioned command and control for who activates first and what can they do. Regarding C3, I know by the time I got out of the Marines we were up to C4I, I'm sure by now it's around C4IB6R3! V/R, Jack |

Hi Jack, Email answered, several things adjusted. Well, I suppose that's bureaucracy for you! Cheers, Matt @ Morningstar |
