Hi folks,

I have a small amount of 10mm GHQ ACW figures that I painted back in the 90s. There are 35 or Confederate infantry and gunners, plus 8 or so Federal gunners that are completely painted; none of these are based. I also have some more 10mm Confederate infantry that are almost finished but lack some details (regretfully, time constraints do not permit me to finish them.)

This will be a difficult question to answer, without seeing photos of these figures. But if you're willing to take my word that these 10mm ACW figures are neatly painted and shaded, how much do you think they would be worth, should I try to sell them? I'm just not savvy about how much 10mm painted figures are worth these days.

For what it's worth, photos WILL be available via email when the time comes to sell these, as well as a complete list of what is what. No-one will be buying a pig in a poke. (I just haven't yet gotten these little guys ready for my wife to shoot some pictures. ) I also realize that I'm not going to get collector's item prices or anything like that; I'm just trying to determine a ballpark price.

Furthermore, the painted and mostly painted figures will be sold with some more unpainted figures as one lot here on TMP. There aren't enough figures for an army, but as a whole, they'd be a nice addition to someone's collection.

Please let me know what you all think. Thanks!

Jeff

Well, nicely painted 15mm ACW I typically see for between $1 USD and $1.50 USD each. But usually that's for complete units. To be honest what you have is one unit and part of another. So I don't think I'd pay more than $20 USD for the painted stuff, with value for the unpainted on top of that.

$20 USD for lot.

I've sold thousands of 15mm figures for between .25 and $2 USD each. The low and high extremes on that scale are reserved for (.25) poorly painted stuff in bulk or ($2) very well painted desirable figures individually sold. Generally speaking I sell painted 15mm infantry for $1 USD a piece. If I sell a 1000 figs in an army depending on the mix of course I generally offer it for around $900 USD-$950. I've also sold a ton of figs that were not mounted so folks will certainly buy them as well.

That said for 10mm the prices are similar though a little less. They are so close to the same scale it's hard to change pricing that much, especially if they are well painted and based. I'd say around $1 USD a fig would be fair if very well painted.

This is all for infantry though, pricing for cav and art is higher (again depending on quality of painting). Generally artillery and cav I sell painted for $2 USD a piece.

I'd offer the lot you have for around $30. USD Seems reasonable for 41 figs including artillery pieces.
