I have seen horse drawn coach miniatures in both 25mm & 15mm for Napoleonic gaming. Now some 28mm coaches are showing up. None of the 6mm companies produce any. Irregular Miniatures has one for the Seven Years War, but does not work well in this period. I have looked in the arts & craft stores to see if in the doll house range would have any that would fit my scale and came up empty. Any know of an other source I should try? Or, have you seen any where some coaches(both opened & enclosed) that would work for 6mm Napoleonic gaming? Thank you in advance for the help.

Also applies in 10mm where the only coach is the 17c one from Pendraken.

Hello green beanie!

We have been using the Irregular coach to represent some important generals in our Napoleonic games for years. I didn't think that coach design had changed much if at all between the periods. So I'm just curious about what is your difficulty in using that coach for Napoleonic's?

And no, I don't think there is another one in 6mm.

Best regards,

Glenn

XT 55 I think is the model you mean. Never did collect in 6mm (beyond WWII) but must say I was impressed by their Empress Dragoons.

The Coach? Naw. Boney might have ridden in this to his coronation, but by 1805-1815 this would not have been for anything but parade use. The Malmaison second coach, captured at Genappe 1815, is not badly unlike this, if you can change the postillions' tricornes, I do admit.

Coach design did change massively, with the move towards the Poste de Chaise, for campaign use.

I agree with deadhead 100%. He just got to the post before I did. The 7YW coach does look too "Royal" for campaigning, more like parades as mentioned. I was hoping to find more like the Malmaison coach mentioned above or the open coaches used by the Russian generals and Marshal Victor. I also found the tri-corns a bit too much on the model and saw that it would me more clean up work than the model was worth for my taste.
