Does anyone make standalone Baker rifles that matches 28mm figures? I have a couple of 95th Rifles officers from Perry but they are not depicted with a rifle, and I'd like to add one. |

Perhaps you could use the plastic one from their rifleman sprue and just carve off the hand holding it. |

Front Rank has an officer with a rifle. BN126 Officer advancing with sabre and rifle link My be a bit big for Perry's? |

An officer in the 95th, carrying a RIFLE? How common! What sort of miscreant officer would carry a rifle? Sheesh. Next you'll be looking for a volley gun or some such nonsense. ;)

Must admit, I was surprised that an occifer of 95th could be mounted
as at Waterloo. Simmonds was it not, with his sword rusted to the scabbard? Never made sense to me, in a unit known for deliberately "low profile". Let alone talking wi' West Yawkersire accent
.nothing wrong with Sheffield United, but don't mention you are a WHU fan if you visit. They've not forgotten. |

The rifles officer with the sword rusted to the scabbard at Waterloo was John Kincaid. It makes sense to me that the officer would be mounted, so he could see what was happening and for mobility. Not sure where the Blades come into it though, I thought Kincaid was Scottish. |

Kincaid
well done
..my mistake. My reference was to Sean Bean who plays Sharpe and shoots the Prince of Orange. Lord Ashram made several witty references to characters in the TV series. Sean Bean is a staunch Sheffield Utd fan and they got relegated a few years ago, instead of West Ham (it was all very dodgy and much legal wrangling). A light infantry officer mounted? Still sounds odd to me, even if units, by definition, more spread out. Fully appreciate importance for line units. The visibility suggestion is a good one though
.yes. |
