the ad is a little nebulous. There is a starter set and there are refill sheets for $11. USD I'd like to just buy the refill sheets and start printing. Anyone use these sheets and know if there is a reason you have to buy the starter set instead?

I'd recommend going here:

And using the Decal Bonder. link

That's all you need. I wouldn't get the starter set, for $17.00 USD you get full size paper sheets and a bunch of them.

Hi Dave how's it going?

Yeah I'm going to try to do WWII USMC camo helmet cover decals so its going to be a chore trying to get a decal to shrink around a semi circle

I would cut small slits around the circumference of the circle and also use Microset from Microscale industries to make the decals conform more closely to the helmet shape.

Update! I found some testors decal paper cheap and decided to test it out myself. The paper is fairly transparent so your base color is important. I attached a piece of white cardboard without any microsol and it came out looking alright but when I put it on a test helmet with microsol it adhered to the odd surface very well but the colors seemed to darken and looked more like black spots on a green helmet. I'm currently waiting for an order from decal paper.com and I'll do some tests with that. Attached below is the frogskin type pattern I made in case anyone else wants to mess around with it
