but that will not work with him.

Give him two brigades and some guns. Give yourself one brigade, a few guns and a hill. Have him take the hill. Or die trying…

Extra Crispy has it: 'take that hill and hold it' is one of histories classic orders. Depending on how he goes on picking up learning movement and fire he will hopefully take the hill with his two to one advantage. If he takes it too quickly and you still have some time spare, you can invoke the 'and hold it' part by recklessly tossing a fresh brigade at his weary troops…
