Hi lads, Sam Mustafas long awaited large scale Napoleonics rulest looks finally to be on the cards (pardon the pun!)

here's the link to his flyer for the game….very interesting indeed and its nice to see plenty of new options for old and new gamers wanting to play Napoleonic battles.

Wellington would have been ecstatic.

I'm quite interested in this one, as most of my opponents prefer being Napoleon or Wellington to being Crawfurd or another divisional commander.

LOL:)…its nice to see plenty of interest in this game:)….well done Sam Mustafa and well done Sparker:)

Paul:)

Gotta say, I was taken back by this announcement, the previous announcement ( TMP link ) used an uppercase C and seemed much more exciting. This one has radically lowered my expectation by using a lowercase c. I'm already concerned as to the implication of this lowering of expectations. ;-)

Cheers,

The Bandit

Blucher is Coming….Lucky Old Blucher….those little blue pills are amazing

Sparker17 Apr 2014 4:06 p.m. PST

Yes I share Clarkeshire's enthusiasm, and suspect there will be many more threads to come before this eagerly awaited ruleset is released!

Oh, I got all excited there for a minute……. I would say it is a year away still.

Back to Grande Armee it is then……!!! :)

Is it really necessary that Sam Mustafa tells us, that the advantage of cards (or counters) is, that you can hide them and that you can stack them? We wouldnt play miniature wargames, if that was, what we are after.

Otherwise, looking forward.

Turning a card over to generate deception is easier than turning a base of figures.

Hi lads….what do you all think of the card idea and what armies and Napoleonic period do you fancy…for me its got to be the Hundred days…the cards will give us all lots of options to try loads of very different napoleonic battles:)

Here's the funny thing. Blucher is Coming twice simultaneously (at his age, what a lad) and one thread is catching up with the other. One is 14 and one is 19……..same title (Grin).

Sparker18 Apr 2014 4:27 p.m. PST

Well Paul, I think the timing of the release and the eponymous Hero suggest that the Hundred Days will be the first battles to be run out using these rules!

But after that its 1809 for me! I'm crap at painting white coats in 28mm, so a card or micro scale based army will be just the job for a Operational level game I reckon…

OK so Blucher is now 16 so it is now legal for him to be coming.
