I've tried pm's, their contact form on their site, FB page, emails and even tried CALLING..(good luck with International LD….it SUCKS when I try)…and the only thing I've not tried is 'snail-mail'….

I'm inbetween a 'rock and a hard place' on some things and I REALLY need them to respond. I don't want to get into it more than that at this time, because they've had health issues and tech issues, among other things. But I do need to 'resolve' some things VERY shortly…Jo, if you read this…PLEASE get back to me! DLP/aka Sgt DWW-btod

That's sad to hear and I hope it all gets sorted out. They have some interestng stuff and always used to have great service too. I last ordered from them about a year ago and it took far longer than usual, but I did get my order. I really hope you get things resolved and that Black Cat get back to the usual swing of things.

I've had no contact from them at all. I'm guessing something major happened in their personal lives…

They are still going, ill get in contact with them tomorrow and let them know.

I had an email from them about two days ago to say that they had posted my order from August or September (Its been so long I've forgotten).

From what I've read on Lead Adventure is that they are slowly getting back on track but only contacting people when orders are sent.

Dr Mathias Fezian16 Apr 2014 5:53 p.m. PST

There a thread on Lead Adventure about the same thing, lots of people waiting, some for several months.

They really need to close the store until they get caught up, and I think they could do with a public statement of some sort. Taking money in with no effort to ship product is not right. I know they also wouldn't respond to Obelisk when they tried to get some restock on products, and Black Cat hadn't replied when he requested his molds back even after sending a registered letter.

I liked ordering from them in the past, they have some unique products and it appears that most people don't bear Black Cat any ill will. I hope they get things sorted out.

I have just spoken to Jo at Blackcat and alerted of the post here.
They have/are suffering/suffered from alot of illness and are catching up with a lot of back orders and they are still open for business.

Dr.Mathias there are always two sides to every story, and the one i am privy too , is different from yours, so i think i shall leave it at that.

I know Ben and Jo at Blackcat bases, both personally and in business.

Jo and Ben have always been good folks and the recent issues BCB has had with health and technical issues, (among some other 'setbacks' over the last year)…has just made it a bit of a 'rough patch', which I'm sure they'll overcome.

I wasn't trying to 'pick on them', I just was trying to somehow reach them, not to 'open up' a thread for 'bashing' etc.

If I've somehow 'enabled' that….I apologize to BCB and all concerned and I appreciate Rees/moonfleetminis, ability to help 'reconnect' me to Jo/BCB.

Sincerely,
DLP/Sgt DWW-btod

there are always two sides to every story

That's true.

Thanks for posting, I'm glad someone here knows them personally. Interestingly some if your products are what I was wanting.

What are your thoughts on when it would be 'safe' to place an order? I'm not the only one waiting for positive signs, people do want to place orders. That's good, right?

GonerGonerGoner18 Apr 2014 11:11 a.m. PST

Moonfleet, if you know them personally then they really need to put some effort into damage control. A message on the website and dealing with the fallout on the LAF thread

would help them enormously. As it stands years of getting a good reputation are being wasted.

In this hobby people will understand illness but not sticking a few messages around advising of likely delays is doing long term damage to their reputation. On TMP alone,

I've always found their service excellent and their unique range of products great. Hope they can sort it out.

I orded a bunch of stuff a month ago, I've tried contacting them too but to no avail. The reason I'd ordered from them has past but I'd still like the order soon. Does anyone know the length of the backlog?

TwinMirror09 May 2014 6:00 a.m. PST

BigAndy, the backlog is probably around 9 months wait; I received my order (made 1st August 2013) on wednesday (7th May). I'd pretty much given up any hope of getting it, so I wish you luck!

So it seems they are slowly dredging their way through, but since they never closed shop, I worry that they have a long, difficult task to deal with, since orders are probably still stacking up.

TheBigAndyT04 Jun 2014 12:44 p.m. PST

That's slightly encouraging Twinmirror. I can't think of many industries where that sort of backlog would be acceptable though. You'd think they hire some help so to catch up and maybe maintain some reputation

TheBigAndyT28 Apr 2015 4:48 a.m. PST

still waiting for my order, how can they still be able to take orders? I'm going to have one final push to get resolved then contact the police
