I did a quick write up of the alpha strike demo game I participated in a few weekends ago. I start off with a brief blurb about some of the time saving features.

I must say I quite liked it. It's possible I'll discover things to not like, but for the time being I'm hoping to get in some more games with my fellow gamers.

Midgetmanifesto, nice writeup, but is the rule that you lose your movement modifier when standing still and get a bonus to hit an advanced rule or house rule? I play AlphaStrike regularly, but only play the standard rules and that's not part of the standard rules. You keep your modifier no matter whether you are moving or not moving.

They're working on a supplement right now.One of the new prototype rules is that you can give up your movement modifier for a bonus to your 'to-hit' number.

Thanks for sharing!
And yes, if you elect to stand still you gain an aiming modifier but lose your move bonus. However if you move at least an inch/end your move further than an inch from your position at Initiative Roll time, you maintain your bonus.
