I didn't like this one. A lot of speculation on locations and strategies. Illustrations from this particular painter are over the top. |

Sorry but where's the review? All I can find is a summary. I actually have this one, and it's one of my favorites. Given the paucity of information available, I don't think it's any more speculative than any other text I've seen. I'd be curious to know where anyone thinks a more solid and less speculative account of the battle can be found. The painter uses watercolors and is absolutely superb although much more impressionistic than the typical Osprey. I can look at this one over and over again, If anyone is a fan of Gorelick's work on Eurasian steppe nomads they will enjoy this artist. I would like to see him do more work for Osprey
