Just finished some giant new terrain items using a spray paint product I got at my local Games Workshop:

I bought a can of the model railroad texture stuff.

I'm thinking of spraying it on some game boards, but I need to research how to seal it. I don't want little fake rocky bits everywhere.

Spray paint on styrofoam!!!!???? Chemical hazard warning – use the wrong paint on styrofoam and you will create a soup of toxic fumes. Yes, there are some that can work on some foams but tread lightly into that mix.

I've used Ruffcoat in the past (an example of it on Amera Vac form plastic: PDF link )but – you're right – the texture is just too fine for my liking.

Nice work on the styrene lumps: It's hard getting a good look on something that big. I too love making something out of residual piffle! PDF link link
