Russians v Nazi zombie monsters – it was on one of the UK pay channels a short while ago. Very patchy quality, but had some entertainment value.

You are being generous :)

So, you are saying it is "up" to SyFy Channel standards?

It has some interesting visuals but is otherwise not very good. Having it be a 'found footage' movie was one wrong foot to start on… having an awful script was another.

When you have nothing original for a film make it a "found footage" film. When your really grasping at straws, make it some variant on a "found footage zombie" film.
So many movies are made it seems just to spend the money making it. While good for whatever local economy, it does make for loads of wasted time and energy on these wrecks.
I admit to not having actually watched this film in particular, I have heard pretty bad reviews for it.

I don't mind found footage movies but I think they set up limitations on mood and pacing… unless the filmmakers have a solid concept ala Grave Encounters or The Blair Witch Project.
This movie is kind of like watching a video game of a squad exploring a dark maze full of weird monsters that keep rushing out at the camera… there really isn't much more to it than that. If it had been filmed 'normally' and taken its time… had more actual story to tell… I would have enjoyed it more.

The monsters are pretty neat though. Hopefully they will inspire some Weird WWII minis.

Too bad. I was excited to see it this week. :(

I liked it.

It gave me lots of ideas for cool weird war games. Which is kind of the point?

Ron W DuBray15 Apr 2014 7:59 a.m. PST

I enjoyed it yes it was not the best made movie and I wish they would loose the found film idea forever. but I liked the monster Ideas and The plot of the story is missing.

I am starting to have a little hope…

Just watched it. I'd say a bit better than sci-fi channel originals but still not very good.

Pros: Over the top Creatures, Sets, Gore

Cons: Script, Acting, Stock Muzzle Flashes, Fun House Feel (Monsters jumping out at you), Shaky cam/cuts for action, found footage

You have to love the guy with the radial engine and airplane prop for a head.

Watching the trailer last year reminded me of the game Incursion, but more of an Eastern Front version.
