sadly those are the only guys, i was looking to make a storm unit and possibly an engineer unit but i need more guys with smg's |

Petrov if you are talking MW and LW FOW lists then this may be of interest: By May 30, 1943 the Supreme Command ordered to form first assault engineer-sapper brigade, which is created by re-formation of engineering-sapper compounds in the assault. Thus the reformed 15 brigades. and 1-I ShISBr, Central Front, September 1943 In the 13th ShISBr, 62 th assault battalion, its commander, Captain M. Cong used live ammunition during tactical exercises with staff, promising to "shoot your ass" (as in the memoirs – approx. Com.) Negligent in the two accounts. Despite the fact that he held a gun barrel fairly high, according to eyewitnesses, "the Red Army soldiers crept like crawling only instructors scouts in sham sessions in the presence of the highest authorities. Arming soldiers assault units consisted of a conventional steel helmets and breastplates of steel, bulletproof and small fragments. This "armor" soldiers usually wore on the jacket with the sleeves torn off, which served as an additional cushion, despite the fact that breastplates from the inner side there was a special lining. But there were occasions when "armor" wearing camouflage coveralls on top, as well as the top coat. From Engineering and assault of RVGK I. MOSCHANSKY M-Hobby, "April 1999. It would appear that BF have it right and the Stalingrad Storm groups did not have body armour but later end of 1943 onwards Assault Engineers did. Or you could mix in other SMG armed PP figures to flesh out the units as it appears that a few vets said they disliked the body armour and did not wear it as it restricted their movement for little benefit. |

Quality Castings has a pack of Assault Engineers, but I havn't seen them in flesh so I can't tell if they are wearing body armour or not. link |
