This may be an easier issue to resolve with metals and hard plastics, since gluing might be easier, but do you paint soft plastic shields before assembly, too? |

What figs have separate shields? Never faced that before. If possible, I'd paint after assembly. Thanks, John |

Glue everything before assembly. It takes much longer for superglue to set for soft plastics. Give it at least 24 hours before touching it. It's generally a bad idea to glue after painting on metal or hard plastics. It's a terrible idea for soft plastics. |

I always assemble before painting whether they are metal or hard/soft plastic. What figs have separate shields? MiniArt Romans and Germanic Warriors both have separate shields. link link |

Some Caesar kits have separate shields as well. I'd probably assemble first. |

I always paint shields of any type after assembly. |
