Hey guys Im new here. Does anyone know of a line of minis for modern time frame? Say 1980 to pressent. Hopefully no bigger than a GW mini. Im hopeing to find vehicals at a hobbie shop that will be close match. US and Eastern block.

They will be use for Twilight 2000 and D20 modern.

Thanks for any input
Joe

There are tons. Doing TW2000 I would consider using 20mm miniatures, to go with 1/72 scale models (of which there are an abundance).

These are some of my favorites. However, you could also use plastics from companies like Revell, Airfix etc.

Are Badger games still open and doing business?

I agree with James 20mm is the way to go cost wise especially on vehicles.
Here is my T2000 force.

I hope this helps.

I hope badger are still open, as they ( if I remember correctly ) are the owners of the line now, and I still want to expand my Brits and Russians, ( with a possible move into a couple of other forces)

Don't count on Badger Games to be available. The owner seems intent on not being contacted and if you did get some minis it would be hard to expand your force.

Badger must be related to Cromwell!!!

Vehicles at a hobby shop may be a bit problematic if you go with GW-sized minis. Depends on who you ask, but 28mm is very roughly 1/56 scale. I have used 1/48 and 1/43 scale minis with 28mm figures (it looks OK because of the thick base on the infantry), but modern ground vehicles in 1/48 are a bit scarce.

I think you'd be much better off if you went with 20mm minis, as those correspond to 1/72 scale or thereabouts. There's LOTS more options in 1/72 than in 1/48.

I like Black Scorpion's Moderns too (28mm).
