Looks like with a couple of big tyres from the Ork Battlewagon you can actually make a pretty decent Taurox halftrack: link link
This might just make me reconsider getting the vehicle. |

Certainly looks a lot better. |

Zinge Industries have some great wheels for this – saw them at Salute (two sizes). |

It just goes to show that a simple conversion can really make a difference, doesn't it? It looks SOOOO much better as a half-track. Nice work :) |

Thats what I call an improvement
I now might get the kit, especially since I do have a couple of wheels

Could you use the spare tracks on the battlewagon? Kinda like a wheel swap? |

Pay premium for a crappy model, and then spent even more money and time to turn it into something halfway decent? Thanks, but I'll pass

I know I'm in the minority, but I actually liked this new IG vehicle. Sorry, AM. |

Wow, it looks pretty cool! I can't fathom a guess as to why the GW kit didn't include optional front wheels from the get go. |

Wow, it looks pretty cool! I can't fathom a guess as to why the GW kit didn't include optional front wheels from the get go. If they did that then no one would discover that the Ork wagon wheels were interchangeable and be tempted to buy an Ork kit in addition to the Taurox kit so they too can have the latest nifty grimdark Warhamster model in their ever changing army.
Marketing always has a hand in anything Games Sweatshop produces, and I expect from the get-go to the last second before the product is declared obsolete and replaced by the new, "improved" iteration a year or two later. Remember, chilluns, yer dealin' with a toy industry corporation, not the majority of small one to five person mom and pop companies that make up the vast majority of the miniature gaming industry. Caveat emptor.

I've seen one where all the tracks were replaced by wheels and it looks much better, as well. |
