The Seven Years Wars in India.

These pictures begin with Robert Clive storming the Indian fort of Arcot to relieve the siege of Conjeveram. Clive then defended Arcot against the Nabob's army.Arcot proved Clive as a soldier, but Plassey was the greatest victory of Robert Clive. With 3,000 soldiers (and some negotiations with an aspirant to the throne), he defeated the Nabob of Bengal's army of 50,000.

Yes Clive ,a East India accountant/soldier did a fine job.made a lot easier when you pay a multitude of the other side lacks of rupees not to fight. It had a demoralizing effect on the indian native troops. I game this theater a lot and new nothing about it 5 years ago,it is a fun and colourful period to game officered by men on both sides who could not cut it in Europe, this was their second chance, but it would always boil down to money,ir you had it you had a much better chance to win, lots of bribes. thanx for the article.
