I am thinking of purchasing some 15mm MDF buildings from Gamecraft Miniatures. They have some very nice designs, however but the building walls need some "texture". GZG sells accessories of course but I am talking about the actual walls. How to people add a "modeled" texture to the buildings? Textured spray paint? Putty? |

I use textured spray paint to do my modern buildings. They came out great. Would work better on straight MDF. The styrene gets a bit weird with that much stuff caked on top of it.

What kind of textured spray paint? There seem to be quite a few. |

darebear- Gamecraft has some modeling and finishing videos on their website. The very first one is "Assembling and Finishing Middle East Foamcore Buildings." It covers assembly, spackling open edges/corners and finishing with textured paints. He shows all the brands and type he uses so you can follow up on your own. |

White glue, paint and sand makes a very nice, sturdy stucco like finish. Alternatively, Spackle, wood putty, or acrylic textures from the art department work well also. |

I just used the rustoleum stuff. Walmart has several colors. It's tricky because it goes on thick but dries down a good deal. |
