Here are the prints for the Garn light cruiser and destroyer models to follow up the heavy cruiser we've already released. Some pieces are not shown. As you can see, the destroyer is comparatively small -- is the preference for it to be cast in resin, or metal?

Resin would be my preference . . . |

I have a healthy mix of both in my fleets, but I think I would prefer resin. |

I prefer resin as well. Ravenstar has converted me! |

Metal for me. Resin is a last resort for me
big terrain or vehicles. |

These look good. Cast in resin please. Much easier to clean or modify. |

Sweet. Those turned out nicely! Best, JBR |

I have to say metal, though I do like the lightness and ease of filing resin. I was turned off resin by my awful experience with the old Mongoose ACTA:SF miniatures, and my experience with a couple of small Ravenstar minis wasn't much better (small Zeons that needed a ton of work). If your resin pieces don't come with holes in them, and aren't misaligned then I'd consider trying them. |

Ditto on what JBR said. Have a nice 'croc' snout to them, don't they? Maybe, hints of some Traveller's Free Trader
I tend to prefer metal, but, while I mostly get others to process, would have to say most experience with resin echo billclo's. And, I'm probably even easier to convert. ;->= Doug |

I think I really prefer resin for starship models. Why? Because it makes the model lighter! |

I wanted to clarify for everyone that even though my Ravenstar Zeons needed much cleanup work (had mold misalignment), they were useable. It didn't stop me from buying one of his Raiden Stations at a convention recently, so I am in no way disgruntled. :) He offered to replace them or refund me, but I'm satisfied with the way they turned out. Nice to offer though. I wish Mongoose had been able to replace my bad resin minis with good ones, but nearly all of their resin minis were bad, IMHO. The metal ones got better, fortunately. |

Whoops, Chris just sent me a most courteous email offering me exchange or refund. I also must 'clarify'. I didn't mean I've EVER had a problem with his stuff. I meant I find any resin kit can be a challenge. Note, this is all MY fault for not reading billclo's previous note more carefully. Ravenstar is one of the good guys, who bends into a pretzel to satisfy customers, and please consider this a public apology. Doug Edit: Also, sorry to Khurasan for the accidental threadjack. Those ships are SO pretty! |

is the preference for it to be cast in resin, or metal? Any decision on this? Doug |

Either would be good, as long as it's SOON! :) |
