Why is "Kum bikers" an unfortunate or bad name? If you're associating "Kum" with "cum" you should know that the word is latin meaning "with." For instance, a singer who's also an actress is called a "singer-cum-actress." Not to mention the word is also commonly used in academic honors such as "cum laude," "summa cum laude" and "magna cum laude." Tsk tsk, how juvenile. What dirty minds you have. |

It is a bad name. They look way better than the old ones who not only had a stupid name but looked stupid on their unicycles. |

I am officially impressed. I love how the painter blended airbrushing and brush-strokes with the white on the bike frame. |

It's a less than optimal name for what looks to be a superior product. DM |

"Sic Bykers" sounds better. But only just. |

Love the figs, meh on the name. I'll buy some and call them what I want. And yes, that brushwork is superb. |

I think some people just don't know the Latin meaning and use in English of cum. All they know is its porno use. It's symptomatic of all the misspellings you find on the Internet -- people just don't know the correct words anymore. I once edited a Wookieepedia entry and described a "palace cum fortress." The entry was reverted because of "vandalism." |

Seems to me what's unfortunate and bad isn't so much the name itself, but people's dirty minds. "Kum" probably isn't even pronounced "come," but "koom" with the vowel flattened. |

Unfortunately, if you're marketing to an English-speaking audience, you have to expect them to pronounce it as in English. If it is pronounced koom it should have been spelled koom or kuhm or something along those lines. |

One of our local convenience store chains is named "Kum N Go". Very amusing for teenage boys. Especially since they sell Playboy type magazines. |

So I guess it's also unfortunate for 'Regina, Canada,' 'Regina Rifles' or the 'Regina Pats' that it sounds so much like the word for female genitalia. One of our local convenience store chains is named "Kum N Go". You're not kidding :)

Unfortunate for them, yes -- perhaps. Although I have heard the unfortunate pronunciation, I tend to say "Regeena" -- problem solved. I don't know if that's an Americanism, or just my regionalism. So that's why we need to know the difference between white and yellow. |
