Hi guys, just an update on the colour scheme for my 15mm Tau, these are obviously not finished, but the basic colour scheme is there, thought?

I like it. I've grown tired of the traditional paint colors and all the pink/purple Tau you see out there. Sky blue and white looks good, and I think it'll look even better on your battle suits. |

OK so mixed reception, I feel Tau are a force that need a little colour, I have a tonne of human armies that can have cammo, so will stick with this scheme. |

I personally don't like that shade of blue, but don't think that should mean anything to anyone except me (and SWMBO when she buys clothes). They're nicely painted. You might want to add a little more white or orange (or maybe a darker blue) at the joints or maybe the gauntlets and boots. I know that's a little hard now, but I think a little more variety will really make them pop when they are finished. |

I like the blue, but it needs a different contrasting color than the white in my eyes. Perhaps with the bases finished it will change my opinion. Right now it feels it is missing something darker on them. |

That blue is quite original and I might just follow your lead! Not sure about the white though… It looks a bit too flat, almost as if unpainted with only the undercoat showing… Have you consider some off white like a beige or bone? Or a light grey if you want to stick to cold colours? Maybe make the orange bits slightly darker? And/or as Etotheipi suggested add some dark blue details? |

Maybe I will try a cream colour instead of the white, not sure, I plan on having orange markings (Tau writing and some pin stripes on the helmets, so that may break up the white a bit, I will give it some thought. |

It is trueblue, so complementary color is red. |
I'm not a fan of non-tactical/non camo colors … Mine will be Panzer Yellow … Not Sunburst Yellow, Teal Blue, any shade of bright Orange, Red, Purple, Lime Green, any pastels, etc., etc. …
