"15mm Far Eastern Corp with anime vibe?" Topic

So that's what I'm looking for. I'd like to build up an army for Alien Squad Leader's newest faction(still in play test, I believe) and I want the minis to have that distinct anime look.
I'm set for Mecha but not sure where to shop for the rest.
For the record, I've also picked up Khurasan's grav tank and heavy gunships, but they are allocated to one of my armies so I need different models…. Thanks for any help!

What do you mean by "mecha"? Big mechs? Landmate or Tachikoma style? Battletech style? Or like those from Avatar?

For vehicles look to Antenociti ' s workshop. Darkest Star makes 15mm Appleseed inspired infantry and Drive Armor (Tachikomas)

The Titan Marines from Rebel Miniatures have kind of a Miyazaki/Ghibli vibe, but that may not be quite the sort of anime style you're looking for. Studio Ghibli never went for the kind of ultra-sleek futurism that we tend to see in a lot of other sci-fi anime. I assume the style you want is along the lines of the 28mm Aurora range from Victory Force ( link ) or the 12mm PRDF and NuCoal infantry from Heavy Gear Blitz ( link and link )?

The Darkest Star figures are very good, albeit lacking in heavy and support weapons. I always took them to be inspired by Bubblegum Crisis, by the way.

I'll be building similar forces to represent various troops in the Far East.

For the Japanese I'll be using Khurasan Gota Clans infantry with Darkest Star drive armor for A.I. robots to provide fire support to the infantry. I'm not set on an APC or tank yet. Darkest Star Talins are already being used for the Poles. For Mechs I'll be using some of the Blue Moon models with various male and female pilots for that anime feel.

For Japan's Chinese rivals I'm using GZG DPRG figures as regulars and ArmiesArmy PA as some sort of elite force. These will use the Khurasan Cane Toad APC and Goanna tank plus whatever ArmiesArmy is planning on releasing in the future for the PA troops.

For my Asian faction I plan on using Armies Army PLA troops and Rebel Minis Sahadeen. When they become available, I'd like to add Khurasan Jong-Pac.

This particular faction will mostly be using Combat Wombat (and other) hover vehicles, and VTOL craft from ClearHorizon.

Some of GZG's 15mm vehicles (Phalanx, Paladin) are based on designs from the anime Gal Force.

Of course when I wrote PA above I meant PLA. This is what happens when you're typing quickly on TMP during your break right before returning to work.

Coincidentally, my Gota Clans figures just arrived this AM.

@ DarkestStar- hi, I mean Mecha in all their battlefield incarnations, so year to all your examples. But definitely of the sleeker, hi tech look.

I'll have to start posting some pics soon if where I'm at in 15mm. I'm building now for singly based games but will build a few armies for ASL and FWC.
