Hi
Finally finished the Irish Brigade , took them to the club to show my gaming buddy and once home again and while unloading all my kit that night, I managed to let the box slip out of my hand as the handle popped open, tried to grab at it but just speeded up there flight against my front door step :o .To a man the box was emptied :( I spent the last four nights replacing muskets and swords and re painting. How bleeding clumsy am I grrrrrrrrrrr

Anyhow to make me feel better I took a couple of pics of the finished brigade.
Hope you like them
Cheers Alan

"He,s alive", have not heard from you in awhile and sorry for the misfortune of droping your figures. Love your Irish Brigade.

Great work – and been there, done that, not much fun – but your repair job looks great!

I saw these over on LAF. Absolutely stunning. That fumble – we have probably all done something similar. My worst was a fumble with the wooden tray I was carrying a complete Bavarian brigade from painting area to storage shelves. Happened in slow motion. And I dropped the tray on top of the remnants. You did a fine job at repair:)

Nicely done (the painting part, not the dropping part). Did potty words come out of your mouth?

No I was so angry with myself I didn't speak a word for an hour , just brooded over what I had done, then started repair work with a grim determination. My fault …should never have tried painting Union troops, they were always fated to smash themeselves against a grey wall………..

Beautiful troops, great repair work! I still have antique toy soldiers and a few wargame models that were broken in a shelf collapse in the 90's. I only recently repaired and repainted the spaceships that were also involved. I said a lot of foul words…I still mutter whenever anyone says "Barclay" or "podfoot"!
you have a better humor than I! ;)

Dropping those boys would have given me severe chest pains. They appear none the worse off for their misadventure, however. My favorite ACW outfit and you did them justice!!! Thanks for the photos.

Very nice work on the figures.

I remember having to slam on my car breaks on the way to a game and all 2000 of my 15mm French nappies went flying all over my car. I think I cried…but cant recall because I go into shock whenever I thin about that day.
