Quick question I am trying to put this battle together and have a few questions. the map below is a little unclear as to which hills are higher. using the map I intend to run only the first redoubt ie from 17 through 23 and have the cavalry labeled 26b so only need assistance with this portion of the battlefield. or is there a beter map that i can use link thanks jon |

Hi jon, The way I read the map the hill that 18 & 19 are on is the highest. The next highest is the layer that 17, 20-23. At least thats the way I read it. |

so do you think the swedes are attacking up a valley in a sort of a charge of the light brigade sort of way. there by the allied cavalry are on a higher ridge? cheers jon |

This is a Baltic beach folks – think East Anglia
Those "ridges" feature on a period map, but may be all relative:
They certainly don't seem very obvious today when you look at the tree shadows for comparison: mapcarta.com/17997454 So I'm thinking – if three centuries of ploughing wore them down, how sharp can they have been to begin with? |
