After some interminable and frustrating delays I am pleased to announce that Polly Oliver 15mm AWI figures will be available for sale from our website from Saturday 12th April!!!!! pollyoliver.co.uk There have been weather issues, mechanical breakdowns one after the other
.but all that can now be forgotten and consigned to history
for we are about to launch the website and make the wonderful Polly Oliver AWI figure range available for the first time in almost fifteen years. Our launch is set to coincide with the Salute 2014 wargame show in London where my good friend, Colonel Bill, will have many of our unit packs available. This will be a good piece of advertising for us and we expect a fair few orders via the website. Remember, you can only directly buy our figures from us and the website. Colonel Bill only sells figures at the wargame shows. |

I have some of the original AWI Polly Oliver's. Beautifully sculpted BUT I find the metal to be rather soft and most of my figures have lost their bayonets and some muskets are a bit bent. Are the new figures made of a more robust metal, as are most modern figure lines? |

I've ordered my first pack for collection at Salute. I've been waiting many, many years for PO to return to production. Hurrah! |

Will we be able to create a login to enter the retail website starting on April 12th (because I can't now)? |

My email from Polly indicated active on the 12th (as in the OP, also). Will be placing an order but it might be next month since, being in the states, we have a honking big tax bill this month – Ides of April is upon us! |

As of this morning, the 13th April, the new website appears to be up and running. As a non-UK customer, I will be submitting my order per the instructions. Looking forward to finally getting some Polly Oliver figures in my collection! |

Dear steamingdave47, The metal we now use should prove to be better than that you have previously experienced, although only time will tell of course. We are using pewter to provide that extra strength for the bayonetes etc. I am sorry I have taken so long in replying to you question. Polly |

I've been remiss. Ordered and have received my Polly Oliver order. Very, very nice figures with a variety of different sculpts in those packages where variety matters. I await but one pack of figures (from a different supplier) and with that pack my AWI collection will be complete – and we are talking in the range of 4800 total figures. Don't ask why but I will have 96 foot units, 12 cavalry units, and 24 guns for the Continental side (including a Franco-Spanish division) and 80 foot units, 8 cavalry units, and 20 guns for the British side (including Germans and Loyalists). I have added some horse holders and a few 'extra' elements like civilians and pioneers and Corps of Invalid bits just for the fun of it. Oh, and scouts. Now it is time to get the whole lot painted for gaming. Whew! That was some work. And Polly Oliver's return is what made the completion of the collection possible! |

Is there a link where we can see what the figs look like? Better yet a link showing Polly figs compared to other figs to see how they size up with each other? I'd really like to order some of these but not until I see them first. Thanky |

Extra Crispy's website mentioned above shows just a small selection of the figures from this range. Will the folks at Wiltcourt Ltd. be posting photos of their unpainted castings on the company website any time soon? In addition to seeing what the figures look like, I'm always interested in multiple poses. Thanks, - Don |

Super Max! Thanks for the link! These will match up nice with my old glory and minifig I already have. |
