I know its an obscure scale, but does anyone know where to get them in the USA?

Minifigs makes some as well, but they are in the UK.

They used to have a seller here in the USA, but that is no longer the case, sadly.

Far from obscure. Absolutely no problem ordering from Pendraken or Minifigs direct from the UK, I have received orders within a week to ten days. Both provide lovely kit and 10mm is less than half the price of 15s. Also it is possible to field alot more vehicles, etc. without making to board look like a crowded parking lot.

Why oh why do you gents at make such wonderful goodies, so little time for it all ;) those vehicles are brilliant. Cheers all

This is a question how much would shipping be to the Virginia in the USA?

Mako1110 Apr 2014 11:13 p.m. PST

I finally found the info on the Minifigs site, e.g. they charge 25% for shipping internationally.

Not sure if the prices listed are inclusive of VAT, and if they offer a discount for former colonists of the crown, but I've inquired, so will post an update when I hear about that.

Can't say for Pendraken.

Thank you.

Got a note back.

Minifigs doesn't discount VAT for international customers. I'm told that is used to keep their international shipping fees to the "States" the same as to France.

We knock the VAT off for you, the website does it automatically when you checkout. So a £2.60 GBP vehicle becomes £2.17 GBP instead. Shipping is then 25% of your order, with a minimum of £4.00 GBP: pendraken.co.uk/Terms.aspx

Minifigs appear pretty expensive to direct order with the Vat and 25% shipping. The shipping is understandable, but not the Vat. Tom needs to get his tail end back to the States and get GFI back up and running.

Yes, I have to agree Cold Steel, sadly.

I can get 1/100th vehicles from Old Glory and others for about the same price as from Minifigs, if not less. A shame, really.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know what happened to all the 1/144 plastic (Can Do, World Tank Museum, etc.) that was floating around? every hobby shop was selling it, now you can't find it. Plenty of modern/semi modern Russian stuff there.

The pre-painted plastics all ceased production a few years ago. They are still available on eBay, flea markets and in dwindling quantities at some retailers. There has been some new production from Japan and China over the last couple years, but it has been erratic in models, quantity and price. WTM sent out an e-mail last year that they would resume production, but nothing since.
