That looks just amazing, the whole shanty town has been well thought out and painted realistically and the scenic ground looks so natural, those little fig of date trees look great as does the vegetable patch and surrounding fence. Zac

Seriously though, that is excellent. It is a nice piece of modelling and not just a mere terrain piece.

Having had a good think about it (and having a chance to look in more detail during my lunch break at your blog pics), it's hard to know what bits of this project I like the best. The overall look is excellent with ground cover and a defined 'scrubby' area (not really a path) between the buildings: all very realistic. I like the use of 'product', as in GZG's nice buildings, AB's little orchard bit plus the chain link fence, palm trees and so forth: just great stuff. I like the paintwork: just on the right side of filthy and broken down while still being livable. I like the fact that the veg patch is removable leaving (I assume) a fenced off area (just beggin' for some chickens!) Just all really good, thoughtful work. As some of you may have realised, I was a late convert to 1/100th scale gaming (and have the many, many boxed of 28mm models and scenery still in my garage to prove it) but it's this sort of attention to detail allied with its very compactness that has drawn me into being a convert. To be frank, I've played one 28mm Slammers game in the last two years and have lost count of the number of 15mm ones. Great work, Stealth. Very inspiring. John T |

Thank you very much John. I take that as an incredible huge compliment. :-) Its been 15mm sci-fi that really got me back into having a love of wargaming again. 15mm just works for me so well. You can do so much with it. And the Toys that you can convert to use in 15mm is huge. :-) Thanks guys for all the great comments. Really has made my day. |
