I was wondering if anyone had tried this? I have a weird collection of 10mm miniatures from both heavy gear and dropzone commmadner.(got them all as gifts). So any ideas?

I don't see why you couldn't make it work… though at 10mm I might start thinking of going with Dirtside instead, to shove some more vehicles onto the table.

As 6mm has been used for skirmish I don't see why 10mm would not work and work well. Have a look a Spaceman spiffs blog. He has shed loads of 1/144 stuff there. Thats 10-12mm.

I don't see any issues either, though with the small numbers of figures used per side, I think 15mm – 25mm would be better in some aspects.

On the plus side, with 10mm figs, you can have more realistic (less condensed) weapons ranges.

Stargrunt 2 is my go-to for my 15mm sci-fi, so I can't see why 10mm wouldn't work. As Mako notes, the ranges will look good.

My other suggestion might be Future War Commander, since that works with infantry squad stands rather than individuals. I think the *WC series was designed with 10mm in mind by the author.

Stargrunt does work at 10mm scale – I've done it using older Heavy Gear and CAV material and it's great.

I have a question about the CAV units how do they vehicles/infantry match up to Heavy Gear?
