Great looking figures. I wonder though, how was the flashing and is the metal very hard like Fantassin?

Lovely. I do like Blue Moons figures painted well, and those are painted very well.

They are usually flash free, though some have a bit of an issue on the backwards swinging arm, but they are softer metal than fantassin and easier to clean.
