We'll see what 7th edition brings us from GW. But God help us when it does…

Wait? 7th Edition 40k? But 6th ed is only about 2 years old! This is a quick obsolence even for Greed Workshop!

I've happily never played anything past 2nd. If I want a 'better' game I'm going to go to Stargrunt or 5150, not the newer GW dross… though, knock on wood, who knows… 7th could be some blessed event that drops the IGOUGO and/or brings back some wacky fun to the setting that has long been missing.

It could happen!

I think it was number 5 I last played and said I will never play this rubbish again. Don't bother past edition 3 IMO.

Isn't 7th edition still a rumour at this stage? Last I heard, it's not supposed to be a new edition as such, more a consolidation of the updates, errata and expansions since the release of 6th.

Not that it matters to me, my interest beyond Rogue Trader and 2nd ed is limited at best. Still, I'm sorry for those who are trying to keep pace with GW's cycle of obsolescence.

I don't quite follow. You had a dream that the new edition of 40K will be terrible so you played an older edition… in your dream?

Isn't there enough to complain about with GW, without having to resort to complaining about what they did in your dream? ;-)

Want a good game of 40K go back to 2nd Edition.

Because all the game is about today is big ass models and flyers both of which are over price and not worth buying.

Mithmee,:)-i got your back on this one,2nd edition was the last worthwhile one. When we still had a GW store in town they even gave me free rule books for each edition as they came out hoping to convert me.

BaldLea10 Apr 2014 11:42 p.m. PST

WarpSpeed, hope it wasn't Pete Taylor conversion!

We have been backporting newer vehicles to 2e. Will put up the link once the site is ready.

Not from GW it won't.

That would be the smart thing to do but GW is only interested in getting money from its Fan Boyz.
