Hey all---I'm considering buying Naval Thunder. I primarily game solo. Are the rules suited for such? Their website says that you do simo-movement with orders, but that there are "optional rules" for those who don't like written orders.

I searched "Naval thunder solo" and read through some other Naval Thunder reviews and found nothing on the subject, but sorry in advance if it's a well-mined topic.

I have the complete line for naval combat in the Naval Thunder family. I wouldn't say they particularly lend themselves to solo play. No more than any other set of rules IMHO. I'm sure there are some relatively simple solutions for solo play though. Use dice to control on side and you make decisions for the other, or something similar.

The rules are my game of choice for naval games BTW. A nice balance of flavor and playability.
