I was curious if anyone here on TMP knows Tony Reidy (of Defiance Games fame) on a personal level. Do you game with him, shop at the same store, talk industry talk? What has he been doing lately? Defiance pulled some very shady maneuverings right before and immediately after the 'Power Armor' Kickstarter. There are allegations that the 3D prints they displayed were done prior to the KS, which means NOTHING has been done in six months. The KS is late, no updates that showed any significant progress, and nothing at all since the project went 'late'. This comes as no surprise to most people. As an (admittedly foolish) backer I want to know if he's still involved in gaming at all, or in permanent hiding at this point. We still don't know if Tony is willfully fraudulent or just incapable of making miniatures- even after raking in $46,492. USD |

Side question: Is Wargames Factory themselves worth buying from? |

The man in question isn't involved with WF any more. |

wargames factory seems to be faring better, and fulfilling their obligations via the kickstarters they are manufacturing for. the quality of their stuff seems to have taken a turn for the better too with their own later releases and the stuff they are handling for kick starters(dreamforge to name one). I've never bought directly from htem, but i did recently buy a box of viking huscarls from a local retialer. |

Side question: Is Wargames Factory themselves worth buying from? From my understanding the answer is yes. They seem to deliver goods in a timely fashion. They have even provided there production and sculpting services to several other companies including a few that are using kickstarter. |

I would imagine the only people talking to the guy are debt collectors and lawyers demanding money back. Wargames Factory on the other hand are a top quality outfit since he left. They only announce new lines once they are ready to ship from their store. Just look at the Dreamforge or Wyrd ranges to see what they are making now for others. |

Regarding Mr. Reidy, let's not forget his earlier endeavor – War Glue! |

I've been on TMP for twelve years and somehow missed 'War Glue'. Not sure what to say about that :) |

We still don't know if Tony is willfully fraudulent I would suggest that, yes, in fact we do know. |

Well, I know that nothing will come out of that KS. |

If someone were to try legal action, would fraud be the best route? I think the Defiance team in place last October (Gary Peltier {sic} and crew) know some things that were never publicly revealed and launched the KS despite concerns that it was viable. I'm relatively angry about the 'Tony's not in charge' announcement prior to the KS, then after the KS ends suddenly Gary and crew are out- with almost nothing at all to say. Now some guy named John Morse is CEO, and he's done nothing as well. I think there are quite a few people that could be pursued legally. |

War Glue was Tony? I hit the web and found war glue is still in business. That does not sound like a company Tony Reidy ever fronted. warglue.co.uk Of course, it may just be a derilict site. |

This story has stuck around for years. |

Side question: Is Wargames Factory themselves worth buying from? On the evidence, they are indeed worth buying from.
