I like, very much. I painted them up years ago in 15mm and it was one of my favorite formations. Very colorful if not particularly successful.

Nice painting, no doubt about it. I have a query though. The pompons for the 4 fusillier companies were (as far as I know) all white or : green/blue/orange/mauve.
Did they really carry 2 flags per batt. ??

BelgianRay08 Apr 2014 11:37 a.m. PST

Saxon Duchies had 1 rregiment of 3 batt., the one represented must be the battallion of Saxen – Gotha – Altenburg – Meiningen.
The other 2 other batt. (Saxen – Coburg – Saalfeld and Saxen – Hildburghausen – Weimar) had other uniforms and colours.

Yes, Saxon Gotha, in Spain 1810

Your army has to look impressive on the battlefield. Not all that French blue.
I have a Prussian army. Can you imagine all those dark blue and black uniforms in front of you. My bright blue dragoons stand out in all that darkness.

Detail question.
Which figure did you use for the Saxon Duchies standard bearer please?
Thanks

The standard of the saxons is FN 156 Regimental command in pre 1812 campaign dress, advancing
Thanks

Really love those Berg uniforms – white with sky blue distinctives. Very nice, until the dice are rolled!
