According to 'Flags and Standards of the Napoleonic Wars' by Keith Over it is not known what flags, if any, were carried by the Brunswick Black Corps before 1814. However, this was published in 1976 so there may be more up to date research.

The Osprey mentions only flags for 1815, not a peep for 1809. There was a national flag (equal horizontal yellow and blue, yellow being the stripe on top) one might fudge factor and use, but that unlikely would not be a regimental flag. But better than nothing I would think.

When I painted my Essex 1809 Brunswickers a few years back I couldn't find any indication of any flags being used before the six line battalion flags donated by ladies of Brunswick in 1814 (Osprey MAA 167).

Damn fine paint work there, Aksu! Where did you come up with the cuff colors?
