I think you might want to mention what scale they are.

Spectre Miniatures08 Apr 2014 4:18 a.m. PST

Of course :)

They are 28mm miniatures.

whoa Mohamed08 Apr 2014 6:31 a.m. PST

Google CIA Special activities division….

Spectre Miniatures08 Apr 2014 8:09 a.m. PST

Specifically, this miniature represents a Special Operations Group (SOG) officer, which is the department within SAD that deals with Paramilitary Operations, whereas SAD tends to deal with political affairs. Although, as this is the CIA I am sure there is some ambiguity. A lot of the models are quite versatile and could represent many forces if the player wishes.

whoa Mohamed08 Apr 2014 10:21 a.m. PST

Public sources indicate that there is a SOG in the CIA just like the M113 is called a gavin..Special activities group contains both a Direct action and a Political action teams.
One specialises in Paramilitary opps and field interrogation and intelligence gathering, while the other assesses the strength or weakness of the target political structure both work independently and jointly on opps.DATs rely heavily on military recruits that receive extensive training on field interrogation and intelligence gathering techniques to reinforce their previous military training. Whilt PATs are more civilian oriented and receive military training to compliment thier talents in the non combat arms fields. There is also the SGS or special government service operators these are not professional in the sense of full time dedicated employees but more like contract workers they can look like anyone and be anyone age ,sex has no bearing since mostly they simply observe and report or move and deliver small items. ALSO and most importantly great figures and Idea for a figure range…

Can't wait to see more in this range!

Spectre Miniatures09 Apr 2014 6:17 a.m. PST

Heres a preview of our African militia. To see them all and claim your free CIA SOG Officer miniature come and check us out at Salute this Saturday on stand TJ22.

Lion in the Stars09 Apr 2014 9:20 a.m. PST

Those are great-looking minis!

Sadly, I'm utterly broke, so I am unable to support your KS. I wish you great success with it, but not so much that it delays delivery for months! evil grin

Do you have an expected pricepoint for sale?

Spectre Miniatures09 Apr 2014 5:13 p.m. PST

Thank you.

We're focussed on launching an exciting but achievable Kickstarter. That is why we've already made a considerable investment in sculpting eighty 28mm miniatures. So risks are reduced for those who pledge and there will be no wait for sculpts to be produced.

I can't provide pricing information just yet but it will be affordable. Please follow us on Facebook for updates.

Heres a small insight into how we ensure our weapons and equipment are highly detailed and accurate.

A few people have requested a scale comparison and who are we to disappoint. We've also included a sneaky preview of one of our new miniatures.

We'd like to say a huge and very warm thank you to everyone who came to see us at Salute yesterday. We were thrilled with the support and feedback you gave us!

Our next step is to focus on our Kickstarter Launch on the 1st of May. We're also continuing work on our beta rules set so that we can release them to you as soon as possible. Thanks again, you guys made it a great show!

Today we have another one of our African Militia miniatures.

Milites20 Apr 2014 4:49 a.m. PST

Nice range of figures for an increasingly important theatre, like the dynamic poses and range of ultra-modern equipment, though the African militia seem better proportioned, compared to some of your PMC's (legs lack some definition and seem very muscular). Would they have secondary weapons? Most pictures of such soldiers show leg holsters or the increasingly popular chest rig.

This guy is really packing some heat.

Mick in Switzerland01 May 2014 4:37 a.m. PST

The kickstarter is now live.

The figures are very nice but rather more expensive than I had expected. For me they work out at £2.20 GBP each even with a rather large pledge.

Some nice and timely minis there …

Suetonius Paullinus01 May 2014 10:41 a.m. PST

I am backing this, I need those SAS figs..
But yeah, £2.00 GBP per figure isn't cheap :-(
Still..very nice bits of lead I simply need to add to the mountain :-)

Btw, who sculpted them?
Unfortunately I've missed you gentlemen at Salute, time to introduce yourselves to the general public now methinks!!
Not keen on FB etc, so get this homepage up and running, people want to throw money at you and it'd be nice who you are ;-)

Cheers
