Another reboot of BSG is in the works. With Glen Larson attached to the project rather than Ron Moore, maybe chrome cylons are making a comeback. Not that I have anything against 'skin-jobs with human emotions' who happen to look like Tricia Helfer or Grace Park, mind you. link |

Nostalgia for the original only goes so far. Not sure I have any confidence in this, but it's not my money. |

Mini-series and season one were great. Season 2 started to go down hill. Season 3 should be used in film school to show future film makers how not to ruin an award winning tv series. hahaha |

Anything listed as a "reimagined", will suck. Period. Hatch has wanted to do a real BSG movie for some time. Let him do it. Everyone else? Come up with your own ideas or get out of the game. The massive blob of laziness and unoriginal thought that has squatted on Hollywood annoys me. |

I don't see a reason why to make another reboot. Go with a sequel to the original series. |

I wonder how they're going to make a 2-3 hr journey seem as long and epic as one taking 13+ hours over the course of even 1 tv season. |

I wonder how they're going to make a 2-3 hr journey seem as long and epic as one taking 13+ hours over the course of even 1 tv season. Well, they can pull it off if they tap Aronofsky. After his epic movie Noah, he's already proven he can make 2 hours feel like 13+ hours

Just think an entire new range of star ships. |

I agree with Ironwolf. If they make it an action movie, I'm in. If it turns out to be a space drama, or futuristic soap opera set in space, I'm out. They'll probably plan it as a series, like Star Wars, in order to be able to make more money. |

Do Adamas story, like in that solo movie, set in the first Cylon War -- greenfield story opportunities. |

Please, big ships, fighters and lots of things going boom. Plot is just an additional bonus. |

It's almost like people have forgotten all about Battlestar 1980. |

We're trying to, thank you for bringing that up again :( I'm all for this one to be honest. I love both series of BSG (what is this third one you wish to speak of in your insane ramblings..?) for exactly what they were; But a new movie would have to stand on its own, and that would mean reboot. No bad thing. Somewhere in tone between the original and reimagined one, it would need to be a space opera primarily. |

It's almost like people have forgotten all about Battlestar 1980. Thankfully! That show was really wretched. It had a minuscule budget compared to the first and shifted the focus to kids completely. They had that super brainy kid called Dr Zaius or something, and then all the BSG kids who were sent to Earth (because for some reason the humans in the BSG ships would all die of something or other) had super powers. Pathetic. |

BSG 1980 had ONE good episode, the one with Starbuck stuck on the planet with the Cylon Centurian. That one was decent. I would like to see a movie version of the first episode myself. |

Battlestar Galactica May Become a Movie. We're Stoked (And Terrified) "So after a maybe-it-will-happen-maybe-it-won't dance that made the possibility of a Battlestar Galactica film feel like the most frustrating kind of vaporware, it now looks like there might finally be a film version of the beloved space epic. Yay?The idea, according to Variety, is "a complete reimagining of the story" of BSG. This is the kind of news that gives geeks (like us) hyperventilation levels of anxiety. On one hand: Hey, there's going to be a Battlestar Galactica movie! On the other hand: Hey, someone is going to go in and "reimagine" a much-beloved franchise. (Sigh.) Aside from the news that Universal is moving forward with plans for a film, there are very few details about what this new flick will entail, so we put on our Wild Speculation Hats and decided to break down what could go very right—or very wrong—with this new Battlestar reboot
"
Full article here link I like both series too. Amicalement Armand |

What Ironwolf said. The whole nBSG went into the toilet after Season 2. |
