yarkshiregamer.blogspot.co.uk Hi all, Bit of a plea for knowledge, I have been building up a nice collection of Perry 8th Army Brits with the plastic box sets, only problem is the box doesnt contain enough figs to do a deployed and a moving bren team, I use two of the prone teams for the Boyes and the mortar. Ive had a look at the usual places but cant seem to find anyone who sells prone deployed Bren Teams on their own in desert gear, anyone know different ? Cheers Ken |

If you shoulder one of the Bren's on a kneeling figure and put a rock or broken wall on the base to support the bipod you can get more Bren teams out of the box. Robert |

Cheers Rob, hadnt thought of that, sadly that would leave not enough figs for other things, looks like an extra box is in order. |

The answer is: "Not that will match that well with Perrys." Westwind/Old Glory do some: link You also have to spring for the Vickers. Now, guys *did* wear the long khaki drill trousers in the desert. Brigade Games does some very nice prone Brens in their "Diggers in the Pacific" range: link |

Maybe you could try trading for some extra prone Brits from others who have bought the kit? There are many WWII gamers who are not very fond of prone figures, and would likely be happy to part with theirs, in case they have bought the kit. |

I actually bought an extra box for the 'Rats' and the DAK so I could make the versions of figures I wanted. |

Cheers everyone, I think the cheapest idea will be to buy an extra box or two to make up the bren teams and then paint up some of whats left and sell on fleabay. Its looking at least £2.00 GBP a figure (need 16) thats 32 quid, I can easily get two boxes for that and make a few quid to re invest into a tank or too. Thanks for all the replies |
