I am pleased to announce that Australia has signed up to join in the 2014 GBnU Tournament, a HotT tournamnet, being held in the fall. Steve Jones will be the Leg Coordinator, and I want to say a spacial thanks to Steve for his enthusiasm, steadfastness and hard work that made this possible. Welcome aboard Steve and Australia. This gives us seven Legs for the tournament and there's always room for more if anyone is interested, Terry |

I like Hott and live in Australia but it is a total mystery to me too |

Well I rub shoulders with HOTTers in Australia too and am also mildly perplexed – but I daresay there will be faeries and orcs and giant red bats involved somewhere along the line

The Good the Bad and the Ugly Hordes of the Things tournament. Takes a long time to type, hence the abbreviations, but maybe we should go back to spelling it out. It started in Nashville, TN under the guidance of Terry several years ago. Last year we went international and added a simultaneous tournament in Coventry England. This year we have expanded across the globe. For more info see this link: link |

David, Thank you. I am just now seeing this but you have pretty much spelled it out nicely. If anyone is interested in join an existing Leg, or wants to start their own Leg, let me know and I can share the details with you. It is a basic 3 round HotT tournament and although there are some prizes, the primary objective is fun, and then sharing the fun with the various Legs around the world. The new score sheets have been created by Pete Duckworth in Coventry (Thanks Pete!), and have been distributed to the Leg Coordinators. I try to keep updates posted here, on the Yahoo HotT forum and on Faniticus. Thanks again David!!! Terry |

One other thought that came to mind. The theme for this years tournament is armies based on children's books or movies. However, it is NOT a requirement to use a theme army as long as the army can be identified as either Good or Bad, and it may not change sides once declared. We have also recently announced the Barker Award for the best theme army. This award is to honor Phil Barker and Sue Laflin-Barker for giving us this great set of rules. When I asked Sue if she had any objections she suggested the name we are now using as mine was much longer and a bit of a mouth-full. Here is an excellent link to a YouTube video Pete put together for the Coventry Leg last year. YouTube link Last years theme was armies based Tolkien. Again, FUN is the primary objective.

This will be for the HoTT tournament held at MOAB during October in Sydney. |

So, effectively, there is a HOTT tournament at MOAB this year then? That's good news indeed. |
