I have some punic, republican roman and successor armies in 6mm. All are based for FoG, the phalax in big blocks of 4 FoG bases. Leaders are on round bases. How many bases do I need for a PoB unit? Four or will be two enough? Must I rebase the leaders? Thanx! |

Four bases per unit or two for elephants and chariots and your leader bases are fine. POB is a very good rule set. |

Yep, we recently played a Punic Wars game using POB. Even for our first game it was incredibly easy to grasp the rules. We really enjoyed it. Great set of Ancients rules. mine are being dusted off to finally use again. Thanks, John |

Are fewer bases per unit also okay? Or some with four (hastati, princeps), some with two (triarii, velites, cavalry)? |

You could do that by giving the two base units the same UI as a four base unit. Or you could count a two base unit as understrength so down one or two in play. |
