I'm trying to find best colors and way of painting of uniforms and camo for my BA US Marines army. So far I managed to paint two test miniatures.

First is this one:

Second is this one. As you can see, I changed both the way camo is painted and colors, and color of the ordinary uniform. Green version camo and green-gray uniform will stay as they are on this miniature on the next ones, brown still needs some tweaking.

look mighty fine to me.

wow! that is some very fine paint work Sir.

the cuffs on the 2nd one could be whiter, there was very little color on the back side of the como smocks right up to the start of the Vetnom war.

They both look great, but I like the first version better. Screams USMC to me.

Sweet!

Both very nice I like the top one best.

My 2 cents: I like both, but lean toward the second one.

BTW: wWho's Marine figs are those?

Guys, thanks for your opinions. I think the first miniature has better photo. My camera light went off during taking photos of the second miniature so the colors are slightly off and whole picture is not that good… Anyway, I think I like second miniature better.
@Bullethead – Warlord Games, plastic miniatures. Excellent imho.

And this is third miniature, test too, but changes are not obvious nor huge (just changed darkest brown spots color to darker). I think I will use these colors, just use more background light color.

Fifth miniature from my "test" squad. Green camo looks final for me.

I managed to add some more marines to my force… not many, as I paint many things, but every one counts:)
