There will be a news item up on the front page in a while, but here's advance notice for the Gentlemen of the Board: I've added three new ships to the 1:900 scale series of mid-eighteenth century ships.
From left to right, HMS Victory, 100 guns (in 1757, not at Trafalgar), an East Indiaman, and HMS Gibraltar, 80 guns (formerly the Spanish 3rd rate, Fenix). There are more pictures of these new kits in this set on my Flickr page: link |

Beautiful specimens! I think the East Indiaman is my favorite of the three, but they are all lovely. |

According to Robert Gardiner (Warships of the Napoleonic Era, 1999) Gibraltar, Main Battery of 30-24# Guns. Just a footnote here. |

"According to Robert Gardiner (Warships of the Napoleonic Era, 1999) Gibraltar, Main Battery of 30-24# Guns." Those were her stats during the Napoleonic era (after she was down graded). When captured (in 1780) she was rated as a full 80 gun third rate. |
