I know that at one time Foundry produced some packs of Mercenary War Orcs dressed for the Renaissance. I don't see them listed on their site now. Does anyone know if they still make them? If not does anyone still carry them or have some? I have seen some on ebay by I am afraid that I could pay up to $6.00 USD shipping for each pack listed. Thanks.

I would try either Dave Thomas auction or email Foundry direct. I'm sure that they still have their fantasy ranges, they just haven't been added to the site yet.

They used to be in the Flyte of Fantasy section, but they're not there now.

They said that these are more expensive then the price they fetch, so dropped the line – unsure wether it will go up again, with all the other stuff they have in their backlog.

I can only second the idea to use the Dave Thomas auctions – I helped to plug many a gap in my collection of Mercenary Ogres and Orcs with his auctions – including a good deal that never went on sale. Quality and speed were flawless.

I fear there is no other source left for these. Imho one of the most beautifull lines around – especially the Ogres – but I am a fan of the Italian wars anyway :-)

Puster,

Those are the ones I saw on ebay. If I got all the packs up for auction I wasn't sure if he would charge me $6.00 USD shipping for each pack or not. If by individual pack that would be another $24.00 USD or so, that was why I hesitated.

Inkpaduta, Dave does combine shipping for multiple purchases thumbs up

Inkpaduta06 Apr 2014 2:17 p.m. PST

Excellent. That makes the purchase far more doable.

Yep. Postage from the UK is a beast, but Dave combines and is certainly not profiting from it.

BTW postage… I sometimes think that a good deal of Chinas encroachment into the consumber market must be a heavy subvention of its postal system. It is FAR cheaper to get an item shipped from China to Germany then from the UK. I usually have to add 20-30% to any order just for the joy of it. Keeping these rates down would certainly help small business a lot with their sales into the rest of the world.

Just read that the Foundry stuff has "discovered a pile of Orcs" that they will bring to Salute. As they illustrate that newsletter with a mercenary Orc picture, I assume these will be prominent.

I just wish I could be there to complete my collection :-/

Puster, I just read the same message and looks like Foundry will be one of my 1st stops at Salute, "We've dug out all sorts of barely released and never released items to take this year's Salute. This includes a Victorian Egyptian Adventure range, unseen Trojans (including 11 chariots (!) apparently there are actually 15: but I couldn't find the others) , Napoleonic Mamelukes, unseen Hittites, Carthaginians, Ancient Spaniards and barely released Persians We have also discovered stocks of loads of Kevin Adams Orcs and suchlike many of which have barely been seen by the public. In fact Kevin himself will be coming along to keep them company."

I fear that I will be loaded down with even more lead when I leave Salute grin
