About two months ago, Iran sent a fleet (of two ships) to cruise off the US Eastern seaboard. Anybody know what happened with that? I couldn't find anything after the "sending" announcement.

I imagine it's like that episode of Black Adder where they said they were going, actually planned on doing a couple secret loops around the gulf of sidra ( Isle of wight) but actually ended up wildly off course somewhere around Tobago or Madagascar.

They sent the Iranian stealth ships

They went home. And no, they never reached the Atlantic.

Probably a good idea too. The weather here this winter was really bad with a couple of Nor'easters blowing through. It would have been seriously embarrassing to Iran's Navy if they floundered and required US Coast Guard assistance.

Hmmm, perhaps those African pirates scared them a bit…..

Thanks for the link. I figured nothing came of it, but couldn't find anything.

2 months out to sea and they did not even get to the Atlantic ocean? Wonder how this was "spun" back in Iran.

An auspicious, and victorious cruise, no doubt…..

They landed in New York harbour, captured the Q-bomb, and went home. Simples.

cheers

Visiting Grand Fenwick for a "port call" in nearby France?

Look out for the mouse…
