I'm trying to find out who these guys are as they scanned an entire copyrighted book of mine and put it on the web.

Needless to say I cannot recommend anyone buying from them.

Sorry to hear that, but, no, I don't know anything about them. They're now on my list of "never buy from these guys."

They even kept the warning NOT to mechanically or electronically copy of store the material. Which is kind of funny. Sorta.

Twerp-skies.

Pirating books… No wonder they're in Siberia.

I think he is a fellow who goes by cuprum over on the lead adventure forum. He usually hangs out on the back of beyond board. His English isn't too good (far better than my Russian!) So it may be an honest mistake.

Copying an entire book, and scanning in a ton of photos from it, can never be considered "an honest mistake."

To his credit, he did reply right away and claim someone posted it on his forum without his knowledge and he was taking it down.

Yeah, right. Someone can post an entire book on your forum and you never notice. Do people realize that it is stuff like this that makes writers decide it is just not worth it, and keep all their knowledge to themselves.

Yeah, right. Someone can post an entire book on your forum and you never notice.
How long was it up for? I can see someone posting something nefarious to TMP on one of The Editor's mysterious 'holidays' and it not getting taken down right away… longer if it's in some other language and half the readers can't make out what it is to register a complaint.
