I could tell you, but it would get me in the Doghaus for the rest of the month, but suffice it to say it/they touches/touch pretty much everyone in the USA (and yes, there are several decent answers to your question)…….

Waterloo.

On WD3, where I'm one of the mods, I keep reminding the inmates that Waterloo was won by the Dutch, with some minor furrun assistance.

Waterloo. On WD3, where I'm one of the mods, I keep reminding the inmates that Waterloo was won by the Dutch, with some minor furrun assistance.

And we keep reminding you that you're wrong – as I have proven conclusively in my forthcoming magnum opus "Waterloo: Ireland's forgotten victory" (published by Hofschroer & Hollins, foreword by Kevin Kiley, last word by Gazzola).

In our house, me running is the joke.

That I am the voice of reason on TMP and that people who disagree with me are being willfully and obstinately foolish.

I said often after seeing a Game of Throne episode: That was a awsome episode but the dwarf died…friends and familly felt in the trap. Last week before playing GOT boardgame I did say the dwarf will die in the next serie ( I really dont know that ) and the guy was very upset about this spoiler . It was hilarious !

John, I totally disagree. Now excuse me whilst I go polish the bells on my jester hat.

I told Varus not to mess with those Germans, but did he listen?

It seem like my running joke, is to ask about gaming Modern Wars in 15mm to give a fig leaf for politics less than 10 years old.

And then profess shock when others rise to the bait.

That the TMP website needs to go offline every day for maintenance.

Arminius did not give bad directions to Varus and his legions, he gave them WRONG directions- and Varus believed them!

I told Caesar to beware the Ides of March, but he didn't listen and wound up thoroughly perforated. That is not the way to become a holey man.

My son is a long distance runner, and he knows lots of running jokes. I don't get most of them….

I help my wife set up some egyptian pulp dungeon crawls. It is always in the tomb of Two-Ton Kommen. Everytime I use his name in the back story I follow it with the line, "He was a big man, 2 tons worth to be exact." It always cracks me up. The wife just looks at me with that look when she reads the write up.
